Barcelona Set To Make Another Bid For Chelsea Starting Eleven Regular

|

Earlier in the week, something appeared in the media that surprised us.

Apparently, Barcelona, a club who we’ve crossed swords with on many an occasion, were keen to sign our Brazilian winger, Willian.

Now keen might be something of an understatement.

According to the speculation, as reported by the Telegraph, Barcelona approached Chelsea a deal worth £50 million which would also have seen a Barcelona player, Malcolm, move in the opposite direction.

Chelsea rejected the deal outright.

However, Barcelona’s interest in 30-year-old Willian is still prominent with the news source, the Standard, championing the suggestion that the Catalan club are set to make a second bid, hoping to tempt Chelsea into parting company with the player.

Willian hasn’t had the most successful of seasons and, to many, doesn’t seem to have that spark he’s shown previously when his performances were able to turn matches on their head.

However, he does remain a favourite of our boss, Maurizio Sarri, having played in 30 of the clubs 32 fixtures this season.

But what are your views on a possible deal?
