A Fine Pedigree But Not Premier League Proven

|

The managerial chit-chat relating to who might be in charge at Stamford Bridge continues to generate column inches in the media.

Today, we find two relatively new names in the frame, as well as the apparent dismissal of one who many perceived, was a shoe-in for the job.

Taking the two new names first, the good folk of the, Sun, are implying that Chelsea may make an attempt to persuade Zinedine Zidane to take on the roll.

The Frenchman, despite leading Real Madrid to a third consecutive Champions League title, left the club earlier this week.

However, another news source, the Daily Mail, are suggesting that another possible target could be the former Paris Saint-Germain boss, Laurent Blanc.

As for the apparent dismissal of a perceived leading candidate, Maurizio Sarri, the news source, the Guardian, are reporting that Chelsea will not meet the £7 million buy-out source in Sarri’s current contract.

As we suggested last month, the managerial roundabout we’re about to climb aboard (yet again), could be one of the highlights of the summer.

Do the names of Blanc and Zidane excite you or are they non-runners in this particular race?

Your views on the above subject matter would be most welcome.
