Lurking in the pages of one news source is an interesting piece of speculation.

According to the Mirror, somebody who was once our most expensive signing and who had what might be described as a hit-and-miss career with Chelsea, wants to make a return to the Premier League.

The player in question is Fernando Torres somebody who will always hold a special place in our hearts after that wonderful goal in the Nou Camp, against Barcelona, ended the Catalan`s hopes of knocking Chelsea out of the Champions League and set Chelsea on the road to glory in Munich.

Currently on the books of Atletico Madrid, our aforementioned source suggests that the 33-year-old striker is interesting Southampton and Newcastle United.

If Torres were to sign for Newcastle United it would mean a reacquaintance with somebody who knows him well, Rafael Benitez.

If it were to all fall in place, what are the chances of Fernando scoring against Chelsea?
