I`ve never been that interested in politics.

I`ve always thought they were a load of chancers just out to make a few bob for themselves.

But I do confess that I did find one political incident highly amusing.

Some twenty years ago, whilst sat in my living room watching some creepy programme, the front door that was part of the living room, burst open and this rather confused chap ended up face down on the carpet. It appeared he`d been tripped up by the wobbly step leading up to the door and the door not being locked opened invitingly.

Anyway, dusting himself down and getting to his feet, he introduced himself as a member of the Labour party and asked if he could count on my vote!

But, getting back to the gist of this article, it seems that when it comes to politics and in particular General Elections, this season augers well for Chelsea.

It turns out that Chelsea have won the Premier League title in the last three years where General Elections have been held, 2005, 2010 and 2015.

Let`s hope that record continues in 2017.

And as for the unfortunate Labour politician that crashed head-first through my door, no he didn`t get my vote!
