One of the things that endeared the Chelsea support to Antonio Conte, very early on in his tenure as the new Chelsea manager, was his passion.

The Italian prowls his technical area like no other and when the ball hits the back of the net his passion erupts in a manic way whereby he embraces not only his backroom staff but also those supporters lucky enough to be in the front-rows of the east Stand.

Away from home you might even see Antonio swinging from the dug-out roof!

However, it seems that in being so passionate, Antonio not only completely tires himself out over the ninety-minutes but also sheds a considerable amount of weight.

As a consequence, it appears that we may see a more mellow Antonio Conte next season with the gaffer quoted in the media as remarking about his passion,

“During the game I try to stay together with my players in the positive and negative situations.

“I know in the future that it will be very difficult to continue this because to stay on the touchline and have this passion, you must have a lot of strength.

“I finish the game and I`m destroyed, I lose between 4-6 lb during the game.

“In the future my strength will be less and then maybe I will try to keep myself calm and more seated.”
