A Move That’s Not As Logical As It Might Seem

|

After agreeing to become the new manager of the Championship side Derby County, speculation is rife that another Chelsea legend is also set to make the move to Pride Park.

According to the Daily Star, John Terry is set to join up with Frank Lampard as our all-time leading scorer embarks on his first managerial challenge.

Terry, who spent a season at Aston Villa, is a free-agent after his one-year deal at Villa Park came to an end.

But, although our source is confident that the deal will go ahead, here at Vital Chelsea we’re not so sure.

In joining Derby County, Frank Lampard was made well aware of the financial restrictions he’d have to operate under.

John, whilst at Villa Park, was on a reputed £60,000 a season, are we to believe that Derby are prepared to pay the 37-year-old a similar figure?

Therefore, although our source suggests John wants to play on another season and that a move to join up with his mate Lampard looks appealing, we’re of the belief such a move is not as cut-and-dried as our source infers.

But, what are your views on the subject matter?
