A Piece Of Chelsea Speculation That Will Probably Come To Nothing

|

Sometimes a piece of transfer speculation appears that gives you the feeling that whilst it would be nice to see it happen common sense would suggest it isn’t going to.

One such piece has appeared in the media this morning.

According to the Italian news source, corrieredellosport, Chelsea are being linked with a midfielder who is currently plying his trade in Serie A.

The midfielder in question is the Bosnian international Miralem Pjanic.

At 27-years-of-age, Pjanic is at the peak of his game and would, in our opinion, prove to be a magnificent signing for Chelsea Football Club.

However, as we said earlier in the article, there are reasons to believe the deal won’t actually go-ahead.

Firstly, if Chelsea are serious about signing the midfielder they’ll have to meet the asking price Juventus have placed on his head, a cool £70 million.

Secondly, there’s also the small matter of Barcelona, according to our source, being interested in the player.

Two reasons why, here at Vital Chelsea, we’re confident that we’ll not be seeing Pjanic in a Chelsea shirt next season.
