A Second Chelsea Player Could Also Be Heading To The Bernabeu This Summer

|

If the thought of losing Eden Hazard to Real Madrid wasn’t bad enough, it seems that the Spanish giants are also confident of landing a second Chelsea player.

According to the news source, the Express, the Champions League winners are in advanced talks with Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois.

The 26-year-old, set to start the last year of his current contract, has often muttered about making a return to La Liga and it appears, according to our source, he could get his wish this summer.

No fee has been quoted, although you’d imagine that a goalkeeper of Courtois standing, in the game, would see a fee of something in the region of £60 – £70 million exchanging hands.

Which, if the Hazard speculation is correct, would see Chelsea handed a cheque, around the £265 million mark for the two players, which begs us to ask the question as to how Real Madrid can abide by the Financial Fair Play Regulations if they can find that sort of cash!
