A Shock Revelation Regarding An Out Of Favour Midfielder at Stamford Bridge

|

Sometimes you just come across something in the media that leaves you exasperated.

Today, lurking in the pages of the Telegraph, is a strange insinuation relating to our midfielder Danny Drinkwater.

Drinkwater, now 28-years-of-age, has yet to feature in any of Chelsea’s matchday squads this season, seemingly totally out-of-favour.

The common conception is that, come the January transfer window, Drinkwater would be looking to move on.

However, according to our source, that isn’t the case.

Apparently, Drinkwater is in no rush to quit Chelsea, seemingly quite content to see how his situation unravels, obviously hoping that something will change, and he can edge ahead of Loftus-Cheek and Barkley in the pecking order.

Now, I find that strange.

Whilst it must be a wrench for anyone to leave our fine club, I’d have thought that the chance to play football on a regular basis was the reasoning for being a professional footballer.

I sincerely hope I’m wrong, but I’m beginning to get a few of those Winston Bogarde vibes when it comes to Drinkwater.

How about you?
