Although many expect Juan Cuadrado to leave Chelsea Football Club, even more so with rumours circulating that Jose Mourinho has asked the agent, Jorge Mendes, to find the Colombian a new club.

But that line of thought doesn`t match up with what the players` agent is saying.

Allessandro Lucci has spoken to one media source, remarking about his client,

‘Cuadrado is a Chelsea player, strongly backed by Jose Mourinho who believes in him.

‘Juan is fine in London and is very likely to remain at Chelsea. He has interest from other teams but I repeat, Juan is a Chelsea player.’

After 14 appearances Juan has yet to convince anybody that he has what it takes to become a starter in the side and has certainly not looked like a player who Chelsea paid £27 million for.

But perhaps, jus perhaps, the arrival of a fellow Colombian in the shape of Radamel Falcao, could be the catalyst that sees Cuadrado come out of his shell.

We can but hope.
