Alex Sandro was in London yesterday, but not on his way to Stamford Bridge to sign a contract with Chelsea.

The Brazilian, who has been a transfer target all summer, was playing for Juventus at Wembley Stadium, against some small team from North London.

Sadly, despite Sandro being on top of the Chelsea summer transfer wish-list it appears Chelsea have no chance of signing the player they made a £60 million bid for earlier this summer.

According to the esteemed sports news source, the ESPN, the Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has left Chelsea in no doubt as to where the 26-year-old will be playing his football next season.

Asked, after Juventus had slipped to defeat against Tottenham Hotspur, about the future of his attacking left-back, Allegri remarked,

‘Alex Sandro is a Juventus player and he will stay one.

And on the possibility of Chelsea signing his player his reply was a very stern,

‘No chance.’

That would appear to be the end of that then, once and for all.

Time to look elsewhere!
