All May Not Be As It Seems With Regards To Emenalo’s Replacement At Chelsea

|

Earlier this week, here at Vital Chelsea, we covered the speculation doing the rounds that Chelsea may well be on the verge of finally filling the void left by the departure of Michael Emenalo many moons ago.

Our article, Click Here, implied that the incoming man would be the Lille sporting director, Luis Campos, somebody who was also interesting Manchester United and somebody who had a good track record of identifying stars of the future.

However, it now appears that the speculation linking Campos to a move to Chelsea Football Club may be nothing more than just speculation.

The news source, Goal, has picked up on something relating to the proposed move and is reporting that when the Lille owner, Gerard Lopez was discussing a possible transfer for his £43 million-rated winger, Nicolas Pepe, he emphatically denied that Campos was in talks with Chelsea.

Now, Lopez may have been telling the truth or he may be under instruction to keep any details relating to a Chelsea swoop secret, such is the nature of the game, only time will tell.

But, here at Vital Chelsea, we feel one thing is certain, the club do need to find a replacement for Emenalo, although many supporters were critical of the manner in which he carried out his role his departure has only served to prove he was, in fact, doing a decent job.
