All Quiet on the Transfer Front

|

Sunday is normally THE day when it comes to transfer speculation appearing in the media.

However, for one reason or another, transfer speculation relating to Chelsea is pretty spartan today.

In fact, digging through the numerous sources of material available, the only significant piece I’ve unearthed (at the moment) come courtesy of the red-top publication, the Sun on Sunday, which revisits a piece of speculation that has been prominent in recent weeks.

Our source returns to the possibility, or probability, of Tottenham Hotspur deciding that they will let their Belgian international defender, Toby Alderweireld, leave the club this summer.

The 29-year-old hasn’t been on the best of terms with the Tottenham Hotspur hierarchy in recent months, with our source pointing out that Chelsea, as well as Manchester United, are set to test the waters by making bids for the player.

If that is the case, it remains to be seen where Alderweireld’s preferences lie.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’ll keep an eye open for anything concrete and report back as deemed appropriate.
