With Belgium having exited the World Cup, at the hands of Argentina, we expect the Belgian keeper Thibaut Courtois to confirm he will be part of the Chelsea squad next season.

After three years at Atletico Madrid, during which he has become recognized as a keeper of huge potential and already on the way to being one of the best in the world, his arrival at Chelsea will give Jose Mourinho a headache, but a welcome one, as to which of Cech or Courtois will grab the keepers jersey.

Yesterday, against Argentina, Courtois showed just how good he is with an excellent save from Lionel Messi when the Argentine superstar was through. It maintained a record of Courtois not being beaten in recent times by the player many consider to be the best in the world.

The fact that Courtois appears to have the world at his feet is confirmed by his international team-mate, Jan Vertonghen, who has remarked,

“At his age, he`s already one of the best goalkeepers in the world.”

“He has 15 more years to improve, too, and I hope he can still improve. He works hard every training session and wants to work. That`s the right spirit.”

“To be honest I don`t know how he can improve his game, but he will find a way.”

Which presents us with the familiar question – Just who will Jose turn to as his #1 next season?
