An X-Rated Evening For This Chelsea Supporter

|

Sat in front of the television last night wasn’t an enjoyable experience.

I’d sat there hoping to see the Catalan giants of Barcelona finish off the job they’d started so well in the Nou Camp.

Instead, I witnessed the Spanish equivalent of Sarriball, pass, pass and more passing without any direct threat being created.

In their hour of need, the magnificent Barcelona just folded like a pack of cards as a rampant Liverpool somehow managed to turn around a tie that seemed dead and buried before the first whistle started.

Now some will be saying that every credit should be given to Jurgen Klopp’s side but to me, and I suspect many other Chelsea supporters, last night wasn’t the things dreams are made of, it was an absolute nightmare.

I’ll be avoiding the mainstream media today and probably for the next few days, as they indulge in mass worship.

I’m guessing things can only get better, or can they?

Tonight, Tottenham Hotspur are in Amsterdam, if they can drag themselves back into the tie and make it an all-English Champions League Final, I’m going to hibernate for a few months.

A Liverpool v Tottenham final, please don’t bring it on!
