Following what appears to be the rarest of evens in recent times, a home win for Chelsea under the interim management of Rafa Benitez, the gaffer had a few words for the media, remarking,

‘Today Torres was a key player for us. Every run he was always there and ready and pushing the defenders. And he makes space for Mata, a good winger. He and Demba Ba did well.”

‘We have been doing well, creating chances in all our games. In the games we didn’t win we deserved to win. It was just a matter of time until we had a performance like this.’

Would it be churlish to point out;-

1 – Ba`s contribution in 8 minutes was far more significant than the 82 minutes Torres was given!

2 – If we`ve been waiting for a performance like this – I hope Rafa means the first half rather than the anxious, nervy second half!

Your thoughts please!
