Nicolas Anelka has become the latest in a long-line of former Chelsea players to step into management.

Anelka, who has also played for Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion, Bolton Wanderers, Manchester City and Liverpool, has taken charge of the Indian Super League side, Mumbai City.

Now thirty-six years of age, Anelka will be hoping to make his mark at Mumbai City and talking about his appointment has remarked to the media,

“We are all excited to start the new season. I`m eager to take on this role.”

For someone who was once labelled as ‘Le Sulk` moving into football management wouldn`t have been something I`d have predicted for Nicolas, but that doesn`t stop me wishing the Frenchman all the best and I`m sure you will all join me in doing so.
