What is it with this sudden interest in wingers that have played for Chelsea?

Yesterday we covered how Roma had set the price on the head of Mo Salah, a price-tag we thought was very questionable, but today the name of somebody else who failed to set the Premier League alight with Chelsea has emerged as a candidate for a return to the Premier League.

The former Chelsea player in question is Juan Cuadrado.

The 29-year-old who, in my opinion, appeared to play with his boots on the wrong feet, has carved out a respectable reputation on the continent.

Now with the Serie A champions, Juventus, it is being widely reported that by The Sun that the two North London clubs are vying for his signature.

According to our referenced source, Arsenal have seen a bid for the 29-year-old, said to be in the region of £17.6 million rejected by Juventus.

The article goes on to suggest that Juventus want closer to £30 million for the Colombian international and that if Juventus give any indication they are prepared to sell then Arsenal would face serious competition from Tottenham Hotspur.

The last we saw of Cuadrado was in the recent Champions League Final, in Cardiff, where Juventus were soundly beaten by Real Madrid and Cuadrado received a red-card for his troubles.

First Salah and now Cuadrado, what is it about our former wide-players that other clubs are finding so attractive?
