Another Of Chelsea’s Brazilian Contingent Looks Set To Be Headed For The Exit Today

|

Today could be, or it might not be, a busy day when it comes to keeping abreast with the latest comings and goings on transfer deadline day.

With noon approaching, the latest speculation to reach us, courtesy of the BBC, is that somebody who has been with us since 2012, but has been conspicuous by his absence in recent seasons, could be about to depart on a loan spell again.

For the past two seasons, Lucas Piazon has been on-loan at our neighbours Fulham, however, once our neighbours got promoted to the Premier League, he found himself surplus to requirements.

But, according to our referenced source, Piazon could be set for a move to Italy with the 25-year-old interesting the Serie A side, Chievo.

The closest Piazon has come to playing for Chelsea this season came when he was an unused substitute in our recent Carabao Cup triumph, against Tottenham Hotspur.

But, that old question raises its head again.

If at 25-years-of-age Piazon can’t get into the first-team squad at Chelsea, on a regular basis, surely it is time for the player to be moved on in a permanent deal!
