Another Ram Raid On Stamford Bridge Proves To Be Successful

|

News has broken that Derby County, managed by Super Frank, have taken another Chelsea youngster on a season-long loan spell.

Having already secured the services of our promising midfielder, Mason Mount, for the 2018 / 2019 season, the Championship club have now taken our promising young defender, Fikayo Tomori, on a similar loan deal.

Tomori, 20-years-of-age, has already enjoyed loan spells with Hull City and Brighton and Hove Albion, assisting the later in winning promotion.

Super Frank, talking about the deal, is reported by the BBC, As having remarked to the official Derby County website,

“He fits the profile for us; he is a talented young player and he already has experience in the Championship.

“I know him from my connections at Chelsea and, like with the other players we have brought in on loan this summer, I am confident we can be good for them and they can be good for us.”

Here at Vital Chelsea, we feel the coming season could prove to be an exciting one for Tomori, Derby made the Championship play-offs last season, losing at the semi-final stages to Fulham, this season Super Frank will be looking to go one better.

Also, with the Chelsea connections now at Derby, including Jody Morris as Super Franks’ assistant, there’s no reason why the young defender can’t hit the ground running. Over the coming months it’ll be interesting to see how Tomori gets on, but, here at Vital Chelsea, we’ll be keeping a watchful eye on the youngster and reporting back as deemed necessary.
