Back To Basics Jibe Aimed At On Loan Chelsea Midfielder

All is not going swimmingly for our French midfielder, Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is currently on a season-long loan spell with AC Milan in Serie A.

Bakayoko, who arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2017, for a huge fee from Monaco, had what could be deemed a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge.

After a decent start, especially against Tottenham Hotspur, at Wembley, the midfielder encountered difficult times whereby he looked totally out of place in the Premier League, culminating in a first-half dismissal away to Watford which saw the support turn on him.

Given a chance to resurrect his career in Serie A, Bakayoko was part of the AC Milan side that lost 3-2 to Napoli, Maurizio Sarri’s previous club.

However, it would seem that Bakayoko is struggling as much in Serie A as he did in the Premier League drawing some stinging criticism, as reported by the news source, Eurosport, from the AC Milan manager, Gennaro Gattuso, with the former Italian international inferring:

“Bakayoko has to learn how to get the ball.

“We must work correctly. It will not be easy.

“He must learn some basic things like how to receive the ball. He must learn the right position of his body.”

Ouch!

It appears that life, the other side of the channel divide, hasn’t got any easier for Tiemoue.
