Lurking in the wonderful media world is the insinuation that there is, once again, interest in Eden Hazard from a Spanish club.

However, whilst on previous occasions it has been Real Madrid who have been linked with a move for the extremely talented Belgian forward, on this occasion it is their big rivals, Barcelona.

This summer, looking to strengthen their side, Barca have been linked with the Paris Saint-Germain player Verratti and also Coutinho of Liverpool.

However, their quest to sign either has come a cropper.

With failure to bring a superstar to the Nou Camp not an option, the media source, Teamtalk is suggesting that Hazard, who is currently recuperating from a broken ankle sustained whilst training with the Belgian international squad could be the focus of their attractions.

However, our referenced source does carry some quotes from Antonio Conte which should help those fearful of Chelsea losing Hazard, with the boss remarking,

“He is very happy to stay with us and to play for Chelsea.

“I don`t know anything about this situation. In the past I read a lot of stories about Hazard with Real Madrid. And now Barcelona. But this is the transfer market, we must understand this.”

We must, it`s the nature of the game, but it`s still a worrying trend when it comes to our jewel in the crown remaining at Stamford Bridge.
