It seems like only a few minutes ago that I penned an update on the Willian situation.
The article, Click Here, carried the insinuation being bandied about that the Brazilian, despite the change in manager, at Stamford Bridge, still wanted to leave the club.
Today, yet more speculation has emerged that infers that Willian’s possible destination might be becoming more obvious by the day.
According to the popular news source, Sky Sports, the Nou Camp could be where the 29-year-old will be playing his football next season.
Apparently, if our source is correct, Barcelona have been looking at signing Willian since back in March and recently had a bid, said to be in the region of £53 million rejected.
To that effect, our referenced source is reporting that Barcelona are set to up their bid to £55 million and that talks are ongoing between the two clubs and representatives of the player.
If the talks are successful, then the curtain will be drawn on the Chelsea career of Willian with the statistics showing the player has made 236 appearances for the club scoring 44 goals.
But if Chelsea do accept this latest bid would they be getting what the player is worth?
Trawling the social media networks, it appears that might not be the case, with the following tweets illustrating the point;
Barcelona launching a third bid of 55m for willian. It’s an insulting offer really for a player of his standard. I wouldn’t sell him at all but he’s worth at least 90m in this market. #chelsea #willian

And
The market is massively over inflated, but, if #Richarlison is going to #Everton for £50m then #Chelsea should be demanding £75m for #Willian from #Barcelona not against him leaving, just think in this market he’s worth more than £55m

Do you agree with the above?
Is Willian worth more than the £55 million Barcelona are reported to be offering or is it a fair price?
