Barcelona Set To Make A Second Offer For Chelsea Winger

|

Already this summer, we’ve covered the suggestion that Chelsea’s Brazilian winger, Willian, could be heading out of the Stamford Bridge exit door.

Our article, Click Here, covered the speculation that both Manchester United and Barcelona were interested in the 29-year-old whilst also expressing a desire that if a sale was inevitable it should be to Barcelona rather than to Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.

Today, the speculation has increased with it being implied, by the news source, the Daily Mail, that the Catalan giants of Barcelona are set to up their interest in the player by making a second bid for Willian, said to be of the magnitude of £60 million.

Now, from where we sit, the problem faced when a club of the stature of Barcelona shows an interest in a player is that they’re like a dog with a bone, reluctant to let go.

There’s also the huge possibility that Willian could have his head turned by Barcelona’s interest, such is the allure of playing at the Nou Camp on a regular basis.

To us, the situation is worrying, although Chelsea could, as we hope, turn the offer down, we could be left with an unsettled player on our hands.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’ll keep a close watch on the situation and report back any further developments.

But, and this is where you come in, do you think Willian and Chelsea will part company before the transfer window slams shut this summer?
