Barnsley v Chelsea – Match Day Moments

|

Tonight, Chelsea are back in South Yorkshire as they take on the Championship side, Barnsley, for a place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

For Thomas Tuchel it will be the first time to sample the uniqueness of the greatest domestic cup competition in the world.

The German has started his Chelsea managerial well, winning 3 of his 4 games, in the Premier League, let us hope that first defeat does not see us on the end of an FA Cup giant killing.

As is the norm, we are inviting you, via our Match Day Moments feature to have your say on a variety of subjects including, but not limited to:

1 – The build-up to the big game.

2 – The starting XI selected by Thomas Tuchel.

3 – The action as it happens at Oakwell.

4 – Your thoughts in the immediate period following the sounding of the final whistle.

Fingers crossed that it is Chelsea’s name going into the hat for the quarter-final draw.

Could our name be on the FA Cup this year?

Chelsea v Newcastle?

Chelsea to Win!

Newcastle to win!

A Draw!

2 penalty decisions that we didn’t get, one confidence boosting save from Kepa, 0-0 after 30 min

Barnsley were all over us first 10 min, but we have wrested control somewhat thereafter ….

Tammy Abraham does it at both ends – scores of an excellent Gilmour-Reece James move, then 10 min later clears a ball going into our goal

barnsley throwing everything at us, but kepa & the defence standing strong

  • ZeeNut says:

1-0 it ends . Kepa looked more assured in goal today …. now to the next round.

We keep winning but we are not creating enough chances like we should. Imagine just one shot on target all night? We will surely encounter tougher opponents and there’s a great beer for us to open teams up more than we are doing at the moment

Pardon the typos. It’s actually A Great Need
