At the end of the season we`re under no illusion that, as the squad continues to evolve, there will be changes on the striker front.

At the moment we can only guess as to who will come in through the in-door.

However, it seems pretty certain that Demba Ba will be heading for the out-door.

The 28 year-old Senegalese international has played no more than a bit part this season and is already talking about his departure, commenting in the media this morning,

“My agent has spoken to the club about a departure and he has started speaking with other clubs about a contract for next year.”

“I hope we can find the best option possible. I`d like to stay in England. I like other league, too. I`d like to try the Italian league.”

“Nothing`s been confirmed but there are a few teams in Italy who play very good football.”

Ba, although having scored some crucial goals, has never hit the scoring heights of his Newcastle days, although some would say he`s never been given a run of games to do so.

However, it`ll certainly be interesting to see where Demba ends up this summer!
