With a crescendo of boos greeting the final whistle, after yet another disappointing home result, Rafa Benitez had to face the press in his after-match press conference.

Benitez, starting to feel the pressure after three poor home results on the bounce, had plenty to say, but seemed to concentrate eon the fact that, once again, we`d failed to take our chances and under-performed, with Rafa remarking,

“We should have won.”

“On Tuesday I said we have to be more clinical. We didn`t take our chances. We gave them hope that they could score and they did.”

“At half-time I said we needed a third goal and that we couldn`t afford to make mistakes and let them have a goal. All we had to do was manage the game. But we didn`t do that.”

“I`m not angry, I`m disappointed.”

“When you know your players, what can they do and have to do, you`re disappointed. But I have to think about improving for the next one.”

You certainly do or else a free-flowing Arsenal side could heap yet more misery on Chelsea this Sunday lunchtime!
