As Chelsea continue to push towards the Premier League title, our defence continues to be amongst the best out there.

The defensive quartet of Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill and Azpilicueta picks itself week-in, week-out and with Petr Cech behind them in goal, Chelsea Football Club has the highest number of clean sheets in the Premier League.

Gary Cahill, who now partners John Terry at the heart of the defence on a regular basis, has spoken about the assistance Terry has given him in becoming one of the top defenders in the Premier League, remarking in the media,

“John and I are comfortable next to each other. You can see the partnership works well. When I first came here, we were in a rotation, and last year JT had a few injuries. So to get him back has been fantastic for us, and for me to play alongside him consistently has been great.”

So am I correct in my deduction that Terry and Cahill is the best defensive partnership in the Premier League?
