With the role of Technical Director still up for grabs at Chelsea, it`s believed that the Blues hierarchy have spoken to Luis Campos` agent about the role.

According to The Independant Lille`s Sporting Director is seen as a possible replacement for Michael Emanalo who left Chelsea back in November. The club met with the Portuguese` agent in London last month to gauge the chances of a deal being done.

Campos was a scout at Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho, after which he moved onto Monaco, where he was part of a team that recruited Joao Moutinho, James Rodriguez, Bernardo Silva, Djibril Sidibe, Benjamin Mendy and, wait for it, Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Of course he may choose to wait until he knows who Chelsea`s manager is before commiting to the move in the summer. Another possibility for the role as we’ve already spoken about is Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola.
