As we await the kick-off, in the Premier League fixture at Turf Moor, here at Vital Chelsea, we have fumbled through the history books to bring you three fascinating facts.
We hope you enjoy them, and we hope they stimulate a debate.
Firstly, Chelsea approach this fixture having conceded a whopping 42 Premier League away goals since Frank Lampard took over the managerial hot seat, that is 3 goals more than any other Premier League club in the same period.
Secondly, when it comes to scoring goals, away from home in the Premier League this season, Chelsea have scored on 6 occasions, but, strangely, all those 6 goals have come from different players – Jorginho, Reece James, Mason Mount, Kurt Zouma, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham.
Thirdly, it has been something of a relief to see Chelsea keep clean sheets in their recent games, today, if Eduardo Mendy keeps a clean-sheet he will join a select band of Chelsea keepers who have kept clean sheets in their first 3 Premier League games for the club, a band that currently only has two members, Petr Cech and Neil Sullivan.
Three remarkable facts to keep you entertained this Halloween.
