Let`s hope it isn`t anything serious!

After our more than decent start to the new Premier League season, a start where we find ourselves sat, proudly, on top of the pile with maximum points from three games, the last thing we needed was an enforced international break.

Jose Mourinho will be anxious that those players who have departed for international duty all return safely and are fit and available for our next game.

Last night at Wembley, where the crowd were either playing hide-and-seek or were doing a damn fine job of turning up in fancy dress as seats, Jose would have watched on (if he could manage to stay awake like the rest of us) whilst Gary Cahill battled on at the heart of the England defence.

However, Jose would have been none too impressed to see Cahill limping with what appeared to be an ankle injury.

The word from the England camp is that it is nothing serious and that Cahill should be fit for the EURO 2016 qualifier against Switzerland, on Monday.

But, a little part of me, nay a big part of me, wouldn`t be too upset if the injury turned out to be enough to rule him out of contention but will have sufficiently healed to allow him to play for Chelsea next weekend.

Does any one else buy into my thought patterns?
