The quarter-final draw for the Carabao Cup has taken place at Twitter`s London HQ this afternoon. Technical difficulties meant there was quite a long delay in proceedings. The draw should have taken place at 4pm but was delayed by an hour and a half.
The draw was being made by TV`s Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell. When the balls were finally pulled out of the Carabao bowl, Chelsea were the first ball out. So a home draw it was. Our opponents will be the same side we play this weekend, Bournemouth. The full list of tie`s is
Chelsea v Bournemouth
Arsenal v West Ham United
Leicester City v Manchester City
Bristol City v Manchester United.
The games will be played in the week commencing 18th December. All in all not a bad draw, interesting how the ‘so called` big four were kept apart. As was United getting Bristol City. No doubt the conspiracy theorists will be all over that.
However you view it a home tie is always good, and Chelsea have their third consecutive fixture at Stamford Bridge in this seasons competition. Are you happy with that draw?
