The disappointment of losing the fixture against Crystal Palace this afternoon was etched across the faces of all the Chelsea players.

None more so than that of Gary Cahill who had watched on from the back as Chelsea pummelled Palace without getting anything from the game.

After the final whistle had been blown and the dust had settled, Gary Cahill had this to say to the media,

‘We’re disappointed as we had a chance to chalk another three points off. They made it difficult. It was a crazy 15 minutes once we settled it was one-way traffic.

‘I hate possession stats. It’s about putting the ball in the net. We have to regroup. It’s a little set back but we need to focus on Wednesday. We need to keep calm and go again.

‘The gap is still there. It puts emphasis on Wednesday. It adds a bit more pressure but the boys respond to that.’

Now if only one of those chances had of gone in, I reckon we`d have romped this one, but such is football.
