The disappointment of losing the fixture against Crystal Palace this afternoon was etched across the faces of all the Chelsea players.

None more so than that of Gary Cahill who had watched on from the back as Chelsea pummelled Palace without getting anything from the game.

After the final whistle had been blown and the dust had settled, Gary Cahill had this to say to the media,

‘We’re disappointed as we had a chance to chalk another three points off. They made it difficult. It was a crazy 15 minutes once we settled it was one-way traffic.

‘I hate possession stats. It’s about putting the ball in the net. We have to regroup. It’s a little set back but we need to focus on Wednesday. We need to keep calm and go again.

‘The gap is still there. It puts emphasis on Wednesday. It adds a bit more pressure but the boys respond to that.’

Now if only one of those chances had of gone in, I reckon we`d have romped this one, but such is football.

  • Just lose on Wednesday then you all will know how bad you wasted the opportunity to beat Palace. Some of the players were too relaxed and we took things for granted which we later realized but it was too late then.

Costa needs to step up because it’s as if Cfc play with 10 men sometimes. A striker should try to make an impact.

  • Even if we loose on Wednesday as you put it AdeBaba, we will still be at least 4 points clear. You can do anything, pull what ever tricks, dominate anyhow you want it but I put on to you can’t do anything about it if luck isn’t on your side. So our own hope is to beat City on Wednesday that luck shall still be on our side like the reverse fixture. So we are optimists & hope we will beat City or at worse draw. KTBFFH!!!
