There`s no doubt Chelsea will have far tougher games than they had today, against Stoke, Arsenal on New Years Day being a typical example.

But, as the old saying goes, you can only beat what is put in front of you.

A five-goal rout, against any side is always a pleasurable experience and if pushed to select my favourite goal out of the five, I`d go for the one scored by Danny Drinkwater.

Getting a rare start, the former Leicester man had a goo match, linking up with N`Golo Kante, just as the pair did in the title-winning Leicester City side.

After the game, Drinkwater had this to say about the performance,

‘We’re doing well. The more wins we pick up in a row, the better it is for us.

‘We managed the game well. We got off to a good start.

‘I’m happy with my goal, it’s a nice feeling to score. We can take confidence from this into the Arsenal game – but it’s a totally different game.”

And with regards to the title race the midfielder added,

‘It is not over until it’s over. So we have to keep on winning.’

It`s not over but it would take a dramatic collapse by Pep Guardiola and his side for Chelsea to get right back in the mix to retain the title they won last May!
