With the season ended its noticeable that an element of frustration has crept in amongst the Vital Chelsea fraternity with regards to the club not having completed any major signings.

Now, for all we know, three or four major signings may be all but done but with Chelsea keeping quiet until the deals are actually signed, sealed and delivered.

Today the inference is being bandied about that Chelsea could be on the verge of completing, and subsequently announcing, their first major signing of the summer.

According to the leading tabloid publication this nation produces, The Sun, Chelsea have agreed a fee to bring a midfielder to the club.

The midfielder in question is Tiemoue Bakayoko, a 23-year-old who impressed immensely as Monaco enjoyed a more than decent season.

Our referenced source suggests that a fee of £35 million has been agreed with Monaco and that the player is set to arrive in London, next week, to complete the deal.

Hopefully, several more deals will be announced as the close season continues.
