Chelsea And Manchester United Involved In Player Swap Talks Suggestion

|

After reporting back late for duty, after his World Cup break, due to a passport issue, it appeared after talks, all was well with Willian, Maurizio Sari and Chelsea Football Club.

However, despite that being the case, fresh speculation has emerged this morning, courtesy of the popular tabloid publication, the Mirror, that Willian could still be set to leave Stamford Bridge before the transfer window slams shut.

According to our referenced source, Manchester United are still keen to take the 29-year-old to Old Trafford.

However, according to our source, Manchester United are not looking to do a cash deal but are looking at a straight player swap with their French striker, Anthony Martial, moving to Chelsea with both players valued around the £75 million mark.

OPINION – Here at Vital Chelsea, on previous occasions whereby the possibility of Willian moving to Old Trafford has been suggested, we’ve been dead against the idea. However, we find the inference that Martial would be moving in the opposite direction intriguing. At 22-years-of-age, Martial has a full career ahead of him whilst in the famous red shirt of Manchester United he’s shown he has an eye for goal but, more importantly, the Frenchman would add some direct pace to the central point of our attack.

Therefore, I have to admit I’m edging towards doing the deal, but what are your views on a possible straight swap between the two clubs?

Is it something you’d look on positively or are you against it?
