But how will it be received?

After being axed by Chelsea, following a second spell at the club that promised so much on a long term basis before ending in a run of results that meant the board had little option other than to do what they did, it`s hard to gauge how Jose Mourinho felt.

I`d imagine the Special One was angry and disappointed but also sure that his own standing in the game wasn`t damaged too much.

Since being axed in December 2015, Jose has yet to find alternative employment, although the wise money is on Jose to become the next manager of Manchester United. There`s also been a roaring silence when it comes to Jose talking about Chelsea Football Club, quite probably a clause in his severance package.

But whilst I doubt we`ll ever see Jose manage Chelsea again there does appear, according to the Telegraph moves being made to make the peace with the manager who, despite all his troubles, remains the manager who has won Chelsea the most trophies, with the club sending Jose miniature replicas of the two trophies he won with Chelsea during his second spell with us, namely the Capital One Cup and The Premier League.

Now, recalling how Jose treated the two medals he was given for our first Premier League triumph, one of which was tossed into the Matthew Harding End and the other into the Shed End, I wonder whether Jose will keep them or simply pass them on
