Chelsea Block Youngster Getting His Wish To Leave Stamford Bridge, A Decision We Wholeheartedly Agree With

|

The speculation relating to a possible, or probable, move to Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi, has dominated Chelsea related transfer window dealings for the last week or so.

There’s no doubting the 18-year-old is a talented youngster who has a marvellous future ahead of him in the game.

But, the crux of the problem appears to be the small matter of Hudson-Odoi wanting more game time, something he believed he might get if he made the switch to Bavaria.

With the Bundesliga side offering circa £35 million for the player, Chelsea may have been tempted to comply with Hudson-Odoi’s wishes.

However, it appears that common sense has prevailed.

According to the news source, the BBC, despite Hudson-Odoi handing in a Chelsea request, our referenced source is championing the inference that Hudson-Odoi will not be allowed to leave the club this transfer window.

Clearly, Chelsea are looking to convince the youngster, between now and the summer transfer window opening, he has a big future at Stamford Bridge.

Now whether that’ll see the teenager getting more game time remains to be seen.

But, here at Vital Chelsea, we applaud the decision.

Hudson-Odoi is a unique talent, to let the player leave would, we feel, be another nail in the coffin of our youth system.

If Hudson-Odoi can buck the trend and secure a regular place in the starting eleven, it’ll give hope to all the other youngsters coming through the system, youngsters that are constantly told, by the media, their futures will involve being loaned out, to various clubs.

However, don’t be too surprised if all the hullabaloo surrounding Hudson-Odoi, returns this summer, it’s the nature of the game these days!
