The manner in which Chelsea beat Manchester United, in the FA Cup semi-final, showed, once again, the club is on the up.
But, as Frank acknowledges, there is still a lot of hard work to be done in order for the club to once again challenge for the Premier League title.
Already steps have taken to strengthen the squad with Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech having already signed on the dotted line.
However, if the mainstream media are correct, Chelsea could be edging closer to closing down a third deal.
A lot has been written about the possibility of Kai Havertz coming to Stamford Bridge, something Vital Chelsea has covered with several articles, the latest being – the-latest-on-chelseas-pursuit-of-talented-young-german-midfielder.
But now, according to Sky Sports, it looks very much as if it could be just a matter of concluding the deal with it being implied Havertz is happy to become a Chelsea player and that Chelsea are the only club with sufficient funds available to discuss a deal said to be worth £70 million, with his present club, Bayer Leverkusen.
Hopefully, the stories emerging from the media have good foundations and that the exciting 21-year-old will become the latest piece in Frank Lampard’s Chelsea jigsaw.
