Chelsea Confident Sarri Appointment Will Placate Squad

|

Yesterday, we ran an article, Click Here, covering the suggestion that if Maurizio Sarri were to accept the managerial role at Stamford Bridge it would be on the condition the club hang on to the talented duo of Eden Hazard and Willian, both of whom have, recently, been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Today, that topic receives further coverage in the media with the Sun, championing the suggestion that Chelsea are confident the impending arrival of Sarri will not only see Hazard and Willian remain with the club but also Thibaut Courtois.

Our referenced source insinuates that the squad has been somewhat upset with the brash attitude of Conte and would welcome the arrival of the former Napoli boss.

As for the change in manager actually happening, our aforementioned news source carries some quotes attributed to the Napoli president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, which read,

“The Sarri deal is in the home stretch, it depends on him.

“I’ve laid down my conditions, it is all in the hands of lawyers.”

The indications are that a deal could be close but as to when it might be successfully concluded is still anyone’s guess.

But, do you reckon the appointment of Sarri will placate a squad that clearly has issues with Antonio Conte’s managerial style?
