Chelsea Defender Heading North To Wear A Shirt Of a Different Shade Of Blue

|

Last season, Chelsea sent a huge number of their squad out on loan, something in excess of thirty players experienced life at another club as they sort to get regular first-team football.

Those thirty plus players were sent to clubs in the various divisions of English football and also to the Continent.

One of those seeking to get regular first-team football was our 23-year-old French centre-back, Kurt Zouma.

The centre-back, who had recovered from a serious knee injury, was struggling to get match-time at Chelsea and a move to Stoke City looked favourable to all parties.

Stoke City welcomed the player and Kurt went on to show his attributes as a solid centre-back, although the season wasn’t to end as he’d hoped with Stoke losing their Premier League status.

Back at Chelsea, for pre-season training, Kurt may have hoped that he could force his way into Maurizio Sarri’s squad, but that hasn’t been the case.

Instead, according to the popular tabloid publication, the Mirror, it looks very much as if Everton will benefit from the availability of the player this season with it being inferred that Kurt will join the club for a season-long loan spell.

If that is the case, with Kurt now 23-years-old you have to ponder as to whether, despite the promise he showed during his early Chelsea career, before he got injured, whether Kurt will ever have the Chelsea career we all anticipated he might.

But what’s your view on the above subject matter?
