Chelsea Defender Not Interested In Serie A Move

|

Towards the back end of what turned out to be a more than a decent season, Emerson Palmieri enjoyed far more playing time than he had during the opening months of the season.

The 24-year-old Brazilian born Italy international displaced Marcos Alonso from the starting eleven and never looked back.

However, being thrust into the limelight has resulted in Emerson being linked with a return to Italy.

According to the Daily Star, Emerson is wanted by the Serie A champions, Juventus.

But it seems that Emerson is happy with his lot at Stamford Bridge with our referenced source carrying quotes attributed to the player.

Pushed on his status, Emerson has remarked:

“I have a contract with Chelsea where I am happy, especially after this Europa League.”

And as for the possibility of a move, he added:

“Everyone says so, but I am a very quiet boy.

“I work and I try not to think about these things.”

With Alonso continuing to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, Goal and with Chelsea likely to be restricted by a two-window transfer ban, Emerson could be set for a rosy future at the club he clearly holds close to his heart.

How refreshing it is to stumble across such a refreshing attitude.
