Jose Mourinho is just the gift that keeps on giving. I know he`s not our manager anymore, but with the international break on-going, he does provide so much writing material.

When he left Chelsea under a pretty dark cloud back in 2015, he eventually went onto to manage Manchester United. It was his dream job, his destiny and United fans looked forward to another Ferguson-esque dynasty. I couldn`t wait for the inevitable meltdown.

After a semi successful first season, the belief was that Jose would go onto pick up the Premier League, after all that`s what he does. Having pipped Chelsea to the signing of Romelu Lukaku in the summer and seeing them sell United Nemanja Matic, much to the annoyance of Ray Wilkins, the scene was set.

After a good start to the season, Lukaku`s goals have dried up, and Matic was missing in action against Chelsea last weekend. Still second in the league, but there`s a sense the wheels are beginning to fall off.

Having suffered Mourinho`s outbursts as a Chelsea fan, they were awkward and embarrassing and as a club Chelsea suffered the negative press.

Well now it`s United`s turn, Jose`s has had a go at the Reds fans, and some of his comments of late are leading to speculation of a departure to PSG in the summer. It`s all about to the art of deflection, steering the story the way he wants it, he`s an expert at it. Wherever he takes United though, it`s fun to watch from the other side of the street.
