Last night, Chelsea maintained their unbeaten start to the season, in all competitions, with a 3-2 victory over Derby County, in the Carabao Cup.
The victory means that Chelsea claimed one of the quarter-final places up for grabs.
Ahead of the Carabao Cup tie, we used our poll facility to ask you to predict the outcome of the game.
We gave you four options to choose from;
• Chelsea to win inside 90 minutes
• Derby County to win inside 90 minutes
• Chelsea to win on penalties
and
• Derby County to win on penalties.
It appears that the season-long unbeaten run has seen a boost in confidence amongst the Chelsea support with a huge 80% predicting, quite rightly, a Chelsea in.
As for a Derby County win, inside 90 minutes, that was the option selected by the remaining 20% of those who participated.
Strangely enough, not a single vote was cast for either side winning the tie on penalties.
