|

The last week or so has seen Chelsea linked with the acquisition of the exciting German forward, Timo Werner.

Although a deal has not been signed yet, the media, with The Mirror being a typical example of implying it is a matter of when rather than if.

But, according to the media, Werner isn’t the only German international Chelsea are looking to bring to Stamford Bridge.

Speculation is growing that the club are also looking to bring the attacking midfielder Kai Havertz to the club.

According to ESPN Chelsea have accepted that another target, Jadon Sancho, will not be joining Chelsea but is headed for Old Trafford.

It is a view that is also shared by The Guardian who also suggest that Chelsea are also looking closer to home with the Brentford player, Said Benrahma, a potential target.

Although the transfer window isn’t officially open yet, if Chelsea can sign both Werner and Havertz it will make us a major force in European football next season, let’s hope the clubs’ hierarchy can get these deals done.
