Yesterday, here at Vital Chelsea, we ran an article covering Chelsea’s reputed interest in a certain Brazilian currently on the books of Barcelona.
Our article – chelsea-look-towards-barcelona-for-a-surprise-loan-deal – covered the inference that Chelsea had asked the Catalan side about the possibility of taking Philippe Coutinho on loan, next season.
It was a suggestion you backed heavily in a poll we posted with 80% voting for the YES PLEASE option.
However, this morning, we’ve awoken to the news that Chelsea are not the only club, supposedly, interested in the 27-year-old former Liverpool midfielder.
According to Mundodeportivo, our Premier League rivals, Manchester United, have now also enquired about Coutinho’s availability.
If Barcelona are willing to loan the player out for next season, with Coutinho having played on loan for Bayern Munich this season, it could come down to which of Chelsea or Manchester United are playing Champions League football next season.
Here at Vital Chelsea, we’ll do our utmost to keep abreast of any developments and report back as deemed necessary.
