Chelsea Headed Towards A Poor And Unproductive January Transfer Window

|

Any aspirations Chelsea have of adding Leandro Paredes to their midfield quota, look to be fading fast.

Paredes, linked to Chelsea earlier in the January transfer window, Click Here, was seen by many as the ideal fit for our side.

However, according to the news source, the Telegraph, the 24-year-old is set to leave the Russian club, Zenit St Petersburg, for the romantic setting of Paris Saint-Germain.

Quite why Paredes would seem to prefer the barely competitive La Ligue compared to the Premier League, we can only speculate about.

We could also debate, all day, whether Chelsea’s interest in Parades was genuine or simply the figment of an over-active mind of an errant journalist.

But, getting straight to the point, if Gonzalo Higuain, as a loan signing, is the sum of our transfer activity when it comes to boosting the squad then I’d suggest it will have been a pretty poor and very unproductive January transfer window.
