With a fresh new season fast approaching, a player who served Chelsea Football Club so well, Gary Cahill, has yet to secure himself a new deal.

Cahill, who won every domestic honour available whilst operating as the lynchpin at the heart of the Chelsea defence, is a free-agent and open to offers.

The 33-year-old, released by Chelsea when his contract expired at the end of the 2018 / 2019 season, surely has a couple of more good years to give before he hangs up his boots.

One offer that has come his way, according to The Sun has come from the Turkish side, Galatasaray, but is it a deal that appeals to him?

Whilst it is likely that Galatasaray will more than match his salary expectations, does the player fancy a complete lifestyle upheaval?

Any doubts about such a move could be further complicated by the ongoing Harry Maguire situation, at Leicester City.

Leicester City, as the closing of the transfer window fast approaches, are perfectly aware that either Manchester United or Manchester City could meet the £80 million price tag placed on the England international and would need to sign a replacement.

Could Cahill, a free agent, be just that man?

The next ten days or so could certainly prove to be interesting and we’ll continue to pay close attention to see what lies in store for one of the heroes of the Allianz Arena on that marvellous night back in May 2012.
