Chelsea Hero Set For A Surprise Premier League Return

|

One piece of transfer speculation doing the rounds certainly caught my eye.

However, with Chelsea not being able to bring any new players to the club whilst they serve a two-transfer window ban, the piece of tittle-tattle doesn’t, unfortunately, relate to Frank Lampard being able to bolster his squad.

But I’m sure you’ll agree it is worth gracing these pages.

Several sources, including The Sun, are reporting that the legend that is Diego Costa could, possibly, be set for a return to the Premier League.

It seems that the 30-year-old Brazilian born Spanish international striker is interesting Everton.

Diego, of course, left Chelsea to make a dramatic return to his previous club Atletico Madrid, in circumstances that can, at best, be described as extraordinary.

However, the return home hasn’t quite worked out for Diego Costa and even though Atletico Madrid have sold Antoine Griezmann, to Barcelona, the recent signings of Alvaro Morata and Joao Felix have reduced the strikers’ chances of a regular starting place.

Now whether Everton’s interest results in a deal being done and dusted remains to be seen but if it does I’m pretty certain that when he turns up at Stamford Bridge in an Everton shirt Diego Costa will get a more than decent reception from the Chelsea faithful who never got the chance to say goodbye to somebody they came to love.
