Chelsea In Battle With Numerous Other Clubs To Land Exciting Irish Youngster

|

With several youngsters now regular starters in the Chelsea first-team, it would appear that the club, courtesy of the two-window transfer ban, have recognised that giving youth a chance can pay dividends.

As well as Fikayo Tomouri, Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham being regular features in the side, there are also the likes of Reece James and Billy Gilmour eagerly waiting for their chance to shine on a regular basis.

But, although serving that aforementioned ban, could Chelsea add yet another youngster to their ranks?

According to The Express, Chelsea are among a raft of clubs, said to include Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Glasgow Rangers and Norwich, who are keeping a keen eye on the development of Charlie Allen.

Allen, just 15-years-of-age, has already broken into the Linfield first-team and the attacking midfielder is tipped to have a bright future in the game.

However, it remains to be seen whether Chelsea can be the club to persuade the youngster that Stamford Bridge is the best career move.
